When I was 11 I went to North Carolina for Christmas brake to visit my dad’s side of the family. I had strep throat at the time and the road trip was about two days long. All of my cousins from my dad’s side are mostly around the same age span as me. When we visit,my aunts and uncles make a party every day so I get to see all of my cousins,aunts and uncles. The actual reason that we went to visit them is because of my aunt (my dad’s only sister) my dad has not seen my aunt in more the 12 year. So then the next day, everyone came to the house of my uncle that we where staying with. So after eating and talk to my uncles,aunts and cousins, I went with my cousins to play hide and seek. But it was night and the only four light sources are the house,the bonfire , a light and a few light that where in the hut (it was a type of large tent). So after picking some one to seek we all hid. So the set up in my uncles house has his house and there is no fence, and in the back of the house there is all woods. He also has a huge white dog that is in a type of makeshift cage and that cage is a descent size for that size of a dog.Then behind the house there is a large tent and that is where everyone was. Then we have the tool shed and the bonfire. Okay so then we only had about 25 seconds to hide so we hid. I hid behind a tree that was behind the the tool shed but about maybe nine feet in front of me there was my cousins who was 13 years old. But after a couple of minutes my cousins that was in front was found but I was not which is rare for me because I pick the most dumbest places to hide. Then after around 10 or 15 minuets I herd all of my cousins that where playing trying to find me.  Then after I herd them I herd a stick branch snap about seven yards a head of me.Then I wiped around thinking it was my cousin but it wasn’t. Still standing there was someone just looking at me and me looking back at the figure. Then the figure ran back in deeper into the woods. Then I ran to my oldest cousin and told him what happened but he didn’t believe me.

So the first two and a half days of our break I spent most/all of my time watching stranger things on Netflix, did some homework and I FaceTimed some friends.Then on thanksgiving my dad came from work around 6:30 with a chicken (because my parents don’t like how turkey taste), smashed potatoes with corn,bread and some type of soup. When My dad was heating up the chicken I was setting the table and cutting the loaf of bread that he bought. When me and my dad where done setting everything up, my mom and sister came and sat down to get ready to eat.After serving the food we said thanks. But after I was done talking,my sister (Ashley. Who is 6) out of nowhere says “Thanks to whoever I have to say to!”.Then my entire family starts to laugh but my sister was just staring at us with confusion and thinking that she did it right. After eating I went into a food coma for like two hours. So that’s what has happened so far in my break.

Second quarter goals

For this quarter I want to fix many things. In ELA I want to write more and more detailed Stories and sumries. Also to finish more books. My goal is to finish at least 5 or 10 books this school year. In social studies and in science I want to write better notes and focus on my work and on the lesson.In math I want to pay more attention in class and ask more questions to then get better grades. In Gym I want to improve on my physical skills like I really want to improve more on my basketball skills. Then in steam class I want to work well with others and make a device that will succeed the challenge and goal. So those are something that I want to improve in second quarter.

After 2 hours of waiting Sabrina, she was finally done getting ready. “It took you that long only to pack a few outfits?” Said Avery “Hey! It takes time to choose perfection.” Snapped Sabrina back in a sassy tone. “Let’s just go before it gets late. You packed your stuff right?” Asked Avery “Yeah right here!” Said Sabrina as she pointed to a big green suitcase. Avery just stared at Sabrina with a plain look. “You know we are only going to stay in Tyler’s cabin like for 2 days right?” “Yeah but everything in there is a must have. What did you bring anyway?” Said Sabrina. “Only 2 days worth of stuff.” Said Avery as she pulled out a backpack. “Oh no oh no no no.”  “Just shut up and let's just go! The boys are probably pulling up right now.” Said Avery. “Okay okay” Said Sabrina as Avery was pushing her out of the door. “Hey ladies!” Said Dawn with a chuckle then came with a grone as Tyler elbowed him in the ribs. Just to point out, Dawn and Tyler are both athletes and really popular in their school. Dawn is the quarterback in the football team and Tyler is one of the best players in their school’s basketball team.“If you guys want to get there before it gets dark then we better get going.” Said Tyler as he threw the bags into the trunk of the car. “Yeah I don’t want to get there when it night.” Said Sabrina. “Fine then get in the car.” Said Dawn as he opened the back door of the car. As I stepped into the back of th car I could smell the beef jerky that they where probably snacking on, on the way to the house. “How long is the drive anyway.” Asked Sabrina as Tyler opened the drivers door. “Maybe a hour and a half?” Said Tyler. “Fine but let’s get going.” Said Avery.


After a couple of minutes Tyler noticed that he forgot to fill up with gas. So he pulled up to a abandoned looking gas station. “Out of every gas station that we have passed in the last 20 minutes, you have to picked the most creepy looking one?” Said Sabrina in a annoyed manner. “Sabrina we are only here to get gas not to give a good yelp rating.” Said Tyler as Dawn started to laughing. “Guys just shut up and Tyler just get the gas.” Said Avery while rolling her eyes. “Okay Fine.” Said Tyler as he got out of the car. “Don’t get murdered,okay!” Shouted  Dawn as Tyler was grabbing the gas pump. While Tyler was filling up the car everyone in the car was on thier phones but Avery. She was looking out of the window of the car but even though it was sunset she could she someone in the woods. Just watching them. Avery got freaked out and tapped Sabrina on the sholder. Sabrina looked in confusion but then was suprised when Avery pointed at the figure in the woods. Then they just looked at each other. A few seconds later Tyler came into the car, then he saw the girls and asked “Guys are you okay what’s wrong?” Said Tyler with Dawn turning around with a concerned look on his face. Sabrina just looking into the woods and Avery just pointed to the figure. The boys turned around to face the window and they almost immediately saw the figure. Then with no hesitation Tyler turned on the car and stepped hard on the gas pedal.


When they got to the main road, Dawn was asking “Who was that?” “You expect us to know who that was?” Asked Avery in a annoyed manner. “Let’s just forget about it. We are on this trip to have a good time anyway. So just forget what happened.” Said Tyler. “Tyler is right, so let’s pretend that this didn’t happen.” Said Sabrina.After a hour of a quiet drive, they have finally arrived to Tyler’s cabin.

Gratitude

To me gratitude is a word that is almost close to grateful (which is technically the same).He actual definition for gratitude is “the qality of being thankful.”. I am personally grateful of my family,
friends,my dog and my amazing teachers. I am also grateful for my house, the food that I am given and the clothes on my back. I almost all the time complain about small stuff when I should be appreciating that I even have stuff to worry about. Because there are people that don’t have anything. But still we should all enjoy what we have. So that’s what I think about the word “Gratitude”.

Favorite country

My favorite country is Mexico. All of my family is from Mexico. I have not been there yet but my most of my family have gone there or have lived there. I also just have it as my favorite because on its “vibe” I guess. Because it is cool and really  unique  compared to other countries in my opinion. Two cool facts about Mexico are that artist can pay their taxes from their art work and Mexico was the inventor of popcorn. So Mexico is my favorite country.

Favorite animal

Out of all the animal in the animal kingdom, I pick the orca to be my favorite one. The orca also known as the killer whale is one of the most known sea creatures/animals. Back then fisher man whould refer to them as black fish. In a documentary called ‘black fish’ they talk to trainers who used to work for sea world. The documentary talks about the live of killer whales that live in captivity, and how the animals have to suffer from depression because of their separation from their families because the higher ups separates them on purpose. They also talk about accidents and deaths of trainers because something to do with the killer whales. But it manly dose talk about Tilikum the killer whale. Tilikum is/was the biggest killer whale in captivity. Tilly weighted 12,500 pounds. Sadly Tilly  passed away on January 6th of 2017. So because of this documentary it influenced me to love orcas.
