For my Chicago history project, I am doing H.H.Holmes. He was considered “America’s first serial killer”. He was born on May 16, 1861 in Gilmanton,NH, as Herman Webster Mudgett. He became a doctor and after that he changed his name to H.H.Holmes. He moved to Chicago and at some point owned a pharmacy. Then after that,(with borrowed money) he built a three story building. But the “world’s fair hotel” was only used for two exact thing, to kill and to make a hefty amount of money.
